Warsaw raid nets meth labs, 1 arrest

Dutton

A Warsaw man was arrested Thursday on methamphetamine-related charges after officers searched his apartment and found meth-making items.

Foster M. Dutton, 39, of 100 block of South Scott Street, was charged with manufacturing/dealing meth and possession of precursors to manufacture meth, both felonies.

Warsaw police officers found several active one-pot meth labs, several items used in the manufacturing of meth and a generator inside the apartment, police authorities said.

The severity of the charges reflected the fact that Dutton’s apartment was near several city parks and Lakeview Middle School, police said.

Two teenagers were also in the apartment at the time of Dutton’s arrest. They were turned over to the Indiana Department of Child Services, police said.

Dutton was being held at the Kosciusko County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, officials said.
