Apartment search yields meth counts

A man was arrested on multiple methamphetamine-related charges during a raid at an apartment just west of downtown Thursday.

The Fort Wayne Police Department’s Emergency Services Team, Meth Lab Suppression Team and Vice and Narcotics Division searched 912 W. Jefferson Blvd., Apt. 3, about 10 a.m., police said.

David J. Heineman, who police said lives at the address, was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of precursors with intent to sell, possession of two or more meth precursors, meth possession, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

His bail was set at $313,250, police said.
