  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

IPFW falls to NDSU

IPFW suffered its third consecutive loss Saturday, losing to North Dakota State 58-54 at the Gates Center.

The Mastodons (10-16, 3-9) had a chance to tie the game at the end, but sophomore Joe Edwards dribbled the ball out of bounds with 3.1 seconds remaining, and North Dakota State's Mike Felt hit the game-clinching free throw to give the Bison (19-6, 10-3) the four-point margin.

Frank Gaines led IPFW with 16 points, and Luis Jacobo had 14.
