Man, 19, admits delivery holdups

A Fort Wayne teenager accused of robbing area restaurant deliverymen pleaded guilty Friday in Allen Superior Court.

Ronald D. Barrett, 19, of the 4800 block of Christofer Lane, faces a total of three charges in two separate cases – robbery, aiding in robbery and criminal confinement.

He was arrested and charged in November after two deliverymen – one for Pizza Hut and the other for China Garden – were robbed in late October and early November – by two armed robbers working together.

According to the terms of a plea agreement, prosecutors will drop the criminal confinement charge. Barrett faces a total of 12 years in prison and four years on probation when he is sentenced next month.
