Two people have been charged in connection with boat thefts in the Papakeechie Lake area, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.

Lindsay R. Housman and Charles “Chuck” E. Norris, both from Cromwell, are accused of stealing various power tools and at least two aluminum flat-bottom boats last fall, the sheriff’s department said.

On Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies arrested Housman, 25, on preliminary charges of burglary and felony theft. She was being held Friday at the Kosciusko County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Norris, 29, has arrest warrants for burglary and two counts of felony theft in Kosciusko County. He was being held Friday at the Whitley County Jail on unrelated felony charges.

He has been incarcerated since November, the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department said.
