Adams County Sheriff Department Seeking Public's Help in Locating Wanted Man

This message is being sent at the request of Adams County Sheriff Shane Rekeweg.

The Adams County Sheriff Department is asking for the public's help in locating a man for whom they were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on earlier on Sunday night.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., the Sheriff Department received information that 26 year old Wade Richard Crone was in a residence in the 1200 block of Master Drive in the city of Decatur. Crone is currently wanted for one count of Criminal Confinement, a Class D Felony through the Adams Superior Court.

According to Sheriff Rekeweg, a search warrant was applied for and obtained for the residence. It is believed that Crone is carrying multiple handguns and poses a threat to both the public and to law enforcement, and it was for this reason that he sought the assistance of the Indiana State Police Emergency Response Team to assist with the serving of the search warrant.

Between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m., members of the Emergency Response Team made entry into the residence and did not locate anyone inside of it. Sheriff Rekeweg is asking that anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Wade Richard Crone, who stands 5'10" tall and weighs 170 pounds with blonde hair, blue eyes and a tattoo on the left side of his neck, contact the Adams County Sheriff Department at (260) 724-5345 or Adams County Crimestoppers at (260) 692-2882.
