18-year-old found dead

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive person found lying in the grassy area near Smith and Emily streets north of East Pontiac Street about 2 a.m. Monday, according to a police department statement.

The 18-year-old male, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allen County Coroner's Office.

The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
