Toll Road lifts wind ban

The Indiana Toll Road is lifting its wind ban at 7 p.m., the toll road has announced.

All triple and long double combinations, except for low-profile steel haulers, had been banned from the highway since 7 a.m. because of high winds, the toll road said in a statement.

The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for all toll-road counties for winds of more than 45 mph this morning, the statement said.

It said winds of those magnitudes may cause minor property damage without extra precautions, and drivers in high-profile vehicles should use caution.
