Jumping through hoops for healthy hearts

For the first time, Lincoln Elementary is participating this week in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart fundraising programs. While in gym class, students in kindergarten through third grade will jump rope and do other jumping exercises, and fourth- and fifth-graders will shoot hoops. With more than $100 raised already, Lincoln Elementary hopes to achieve its goal of $1,500 by Friday’s deadline.
