No injuries in northeast fire

A blaze damaged a house in northeast Fort Wayne on Tuesday, according to the city fire department.

Shortly after noon, firefighters were sent to 6151 Hazelett Road, north of St. Joe Center Road.

Flames were burning the rear of the house on the outside, and they spread inside. No one was home, and no one was hurt, the department said.

The blaze, which caused moderate damage, was under control in 16 minutes, the department said.

The fire remains under investigation.
