Concordia boys topple Heritage

– D.J. McCall scored 16 points and the Concordia boys basketball team defeated visiting Heritage 53-43 on Friday night.

Brandon Webb added 12 for the Cadets, who were up five before a 14-9 third-quarter run put them in control.

Heritage was paced by Nate Scheumann’s 16 points. Wil Knapke had 11 points.

DEKALB 43, GARRETT 36: In Waterloo, Austin Macy made 10 of 17 shots and finished with 24 points for the Barons. Teammate Adison Daub added 11 points.

Garrett was paced by Justin McCoy, who made 5 of 17 shots and totaled 15 points and five rebounds.

HOMESTEAD 77, SNIDER 69: Nick Gamble scored 21 points for the Spartans at home. Caleb Swanigan added 18. Aaron Washington scored 20 for Snider.

WAYNE 76, WHITKO 49: Justin Mitchell’s 31 points paced the Generals at home.

Levi Mitchell added 12 points and Jescus Mitchell had 11 for the Generals.

FREMONT 68, CENTRAL NOBLE 35: In Fremont, the Eagles were up one point before a 39-19 run in the second and third quarters.

Tyler Jenkins led Fremont with 26 points. Jordan Schmucker had 14 points.

Central Noble’s Alex Vice had eight points.

CANTERBURY 57, CULVER 50: In Culver, the Cavaliers trailed by three before a 23-13 run to close the game.

Trent VanHorn led the Cavaliers with 36 points, while Andrew Kus had 11.

ADAMS CENTRAL 53, SOUTH ADAMS 44: In Monroe, Hayden Black made 8 of 9 free throws and totaled 14 points for the Flying Jets, who also got 12 from Dalton Combs.

Chase Mosser scored 22 for the Starfires after going 8 for 14 from the field.

NORTH SIDE 70, CARROLL 55: Oosha Mitchell and Trevion Crews both scored 14 points and Sean McGee added 12 for the Redskins on the road.

Carroll got 20 from Kyle Mallers and 12 from Chandler White. Mason Miller added 11.

BLUFFTON 57, BELLMONT 40: In Bluffton, Matthew Sturgeon scored 11 points for the Braves.

Cameron Bienz scored 12 for Bellmont.

BISHOP DWENGER 54, EAST NOBLE 28: Marcus Stepp scored 12 points for the Saints at home. Kyle Hartman added 11.

COLUMBIA CITY 66, MANCHESTER 41: In North Manchester, Daniel Woll scored 21 points and Derek Hinen added 16 for the Eagles.

FAIRFIELD 61, CHURUBUSCO 42: In Goshen, Fairfield was led by Garrett Scott’s 15 points and 10 rebounds. Josh Stephens added 11 points.

Leading the Eagles was Blake Gross, who made 6 of 12 shots for 15 points and added four assists. Brent Simmons added 13 points and eight rebounds.

EASTSIDE 43, ANGOLA 37: In Butler, Kadis Reneir scored 17 points for the Blazers, who outrebounded the Hornets 25-16.
