Girls semistates set

Warsaw will get to play a home game in a Class 4A semistate matchup Saturday against South Side, announced by the IHSAA on Sunday.

The Tigers will play host to the Archers at 6 p.m. Saturday for the right to go the state finals in Terre Haute on March 2.

The 4A game will be preceded by the 2A semistate between Bishop Luers and Eastern (Greentown), which tips off at 4 p.m.

The Knights have been to the last three 2A state title games, winning in 2011.

Defending Class A state champion Canterbury will play Lafayette Central Catholic in the semistate at 1 p.m. Saturday in Crown Point.

The Cavaliers have won four of the last five Class A state championships.
