50 mph wind gusts may accompany showers

The National Weather Service says strong wind gusts may accompany showers in seven northeast Indiana counties, including Allen County.

At 6:32 p.m., the weather service said, radar indicated a line of showers moving east at 50 mph, from seven miles west of North Manchester to 16 miles south of Andrews.

Communities in the path of the winds include Bluffton, Columbia City, Decatur, Huntington, Liberty Mills, Markle, Ossian, Sidney and South Whitley, the weather service said.

The weather service's special weather statement was directed to an area including all of parts of Adams, Allen, Huntington, Kosciusko, Wabash, Wells and Whitley counties.
