Man seriously hurt in south side business shooting

A man was shot and seriously wounded Wednesday night on Fort Wayne's south side, police said.

Police were called to TGFMobile store shortly after 7 p.m.

When officers arrived at the business at 620 E. Lewis St., a man was found with at least one gunshot wound, according to John Chambers, a Fort Wayne police spokesman.

The victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

Chambers said initial reports show that someone entered the store, shot the customer and fled in a vehicle.

No information about the shooter or the vehicle was available Wednesday, Chambers said.
