AG Zoeller challenges law firms to donate goods

INDIANAPOLIS – Attorney General Greg Zoeller is challenging law firms to donate goods and raise money for Indiana food banks.

Zoeller on Tuesday announced the launch of the fifth annual statewide March Against Hunger food drive competition. Zoeller says 11 regional food banks in Indiana are partnering with Feeding Indiana's Hungry to help link resources to feed those in need.

Last year 51 law firms donated more than 11,400 pounds of food and raised nearly $52,000. Since 2009, food drive participants have donated more than 34,000 pounds of food and raised $127,000.

Executive Director Emily Weikert Bryant of Feeding Indiana's Hungry says one in four Indiana children is at risk of hunger. For Hoosiers of all ages, it's one in six.
