Son to face charge of carjacking mother

– A southern Indiana man faces carjacking charges after police said he forced his mother to drive him around in search of a girlfriend he had allegedly assaulted.

Marcus Buba, 23, of Sellersburg, was arrested Friday in Charlestown. He faces preliminary felony charges of carjacking and intimidation. Buba is being held at a jail complex in Jeffersonville but has not yet been formally charged.

Police say Buba’s sister called 911 on Friday to report that her brother was forcing their mother to drive him around to find his girlfriend, whom he allegedly attacked earlier that day, The News and Tribune reported. Buba’s mother and sister said he was seen earlier in the day slamming his girlfriend’s face into a car steering wheel.

The sister told police she feared for her and her mother’s lives.
