Body found at Dayton recycling site

DAYTON, Ohio – The discovery of a human leg at a Dayton recycling facility led to the unearthing of the rest of a dead body, and a subsequent investigation into how it got there.

The Dayton Daily News (http://bit.ly/15wLJgX ) says a worker at the Rumpke Recycling Facility found the leg inside a bundle of cardboard Wednesday night. The victim was wearing jeans and work boots, but officials said he was not an employee of the waste-collecting company.

His identity has not been released, pending further investigation and notification of family.

Police believe the worker discovered the leg possibly around the same time the body arrived at the facility.

The gruesome discovery has company supervisors trying to ensure that workers are able to cope with the finding at the plant.
