Fort Wayne plows, salt trucks are out

Statement as issued by the city of Fort Wayne at 6:38 a.m.:

Fort Wayne, Ind. – Crews from the City of Fort Wayne Street Department continue battling effects of the latest winter storm. Plow trucks were out through the night battling the freezing rain and snow that fell through the night.

This morning, 40 trucks are out salting and plowing streets in every section of the City, with an emphasis on treating main roadways and arterials.

Motorists should plan for additional travel time this morning and use caution when approaching intersections.
