Carroll swimmer finishes 6th at state

Carroll senior Grant Music finished sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke in the IHSAA swimming and diving state finals Saturday at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis.

Music, who was the only swimmer from the area to reach the finals, finished in 57.46 seconds. Cody Taylor of Columbus North won the breaststroke title with a time of 55.25.

Chesterton won the state title with 238.8 points, and North Central finished second with 203.5. Snider finished 16th in the team standings with 32 points, Carroll tied for 17th (26), Homestead was 38th (11) and Warsaw was 54th (2).
