Irish men move up in polls; women stay at No. 2

Notre Dame reached double-digit wins in Big East play for the fourth year in a row last week, and the Irish were rewarded with a bump in the men's basketball polls.

Notre Dame (22-6, 10-5) moved up four spots in the Associated Press Top 25, going from No. 25 to No. 21, and the Irish went from No. 25 to No. 20 in the USA Today coaches' poll.

The Irish defeated Pittsburgh 51-42 last Monday, and they knocked off Cincinnati 62-41 on Sunday. Notre Dame's next game is Saturday at Marquette.

The Irish women continued to hold onto the No. 2 spot in the AP Top 25. Baylor received all 40 first-place votes in the women's poll.

Notre Dame (25-1, 13-0) has won 20 straight games and plays host to Syracuse on Tuesday.
