A look ahead for boys semifinals

The first day of the area boys basketball sectionals lacked drama, but the semifinals should present some interesting and exciting matchups.

Let's start in Class 4A with the semifinal game between SAC champion North Side and SAC tournament champion Northrop at 6 p.m. Friday.

The second game in the sectional could be interesting as well, with Columbia City possibly playing Snider or DeKalb, depending on who wins those second-day matchups Wednesday.

At Huntington North, New Haven will play Wayne at 6 p.m. Friday, with Jay County playing Homestead in the second game at 7:30 p.m.

In 3A, Concordia will play Leo at 6 p.m. Friday at Garrett in a game that could provide a ton of points.

In 2A, defending sectional champion Adams Central will play the sectional favorite Bishop Luers at 6 p.m. Friday in the sectional semifinals at South Adams.
