Finally, K's offense gets going in win

See Rizk's winner, and more

For only the second time in the last nine games, the Komets won. And they actually scored a bunch of goals -- five of them -- to ward off the Toledo Walleye in overtime.

Colin Chaulk reached 1,000 regular-season points for his career in the game.

And here's what Komets coach Al Sims had to say about Toledo goaltender Kent Simpson: "Our guys had beaten Simpson in Toledo (on Saturday) from the short-side off the goal line. Marino scored the winning goal that way with three minutes to go. And we scored three goals that way tonight. So obviously there is a leaking problem with Simpson on bad-angle shots and things we throw at his feet."

Interesting.
