Drake suspends 2 for breaking team rules

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Drake has suspended two reserves for breaking basketball team rules.

Head coach Mark Phelps said Tuesday that senior Matt Bowie and freshman Kori Babineaux are suspended indefinitely. He didn't say what rules they violated.

Bowie and Babineaux won't travel with the team or participate in Wednesday game at Indiana State in Terre Haute.

Babineaux has played in 18 games but has never started this season. Bowie has played in three games.
