Ohio highway patrol trooper hit by car on road

FRANKLIN, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol says one of its troopers was seriously injured when he was hit by a car that lost control on a snowy interstate highway in southern Ohio.

The patrol said the trooper, who was in training, was out of his car investigating a one-car accident on northbound Interstate 75 in Warren County, north of Cincinnati, just after 11 p.m. Wednesday. That's when he was hit by the second car that had lost control on the slippery road.

He was taken to a hospital in Middletown, then transferred to a hospital in Dayton. The patrol hasn't identified him, and there was no report on his condition.
