INSTRUMENT DRIVE: Barry Manilow has donated a Yamaha piano to launch Fort Wayne Community Schools instrument drive. To donate, drop off instruments from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday or 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave. The drive is open through April 18.
LOCAL WINNERS: Roanoke photographer Richard Herman, owner of A Timeless Creation, won honorable mention in best self portrait at the 2013 Antique and Amusement Photographers International Photo Contest in Las Vegas in February.
Huntington University students Shawn Franklin and Anthony Frederick were recognized at the 2013 Indiana Association of School Broadcasters College Broadcasting Competition Awards. Franklin won first place in the entertainment video category for For Glory. Frederick won first place in the videography category for Freehauf.
