Board invites public’s views on cable access channel

The Cable Access Fund board will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. May 22 in the City Council Chambers at Citizens Square.

The meeting will review how the access channel programmers (IPFW, Fort Wayne Community Schools, Allen County Public Library, and the city of Fort Wayne) used their grant funding to enhance the quality and quantity of local public, education and government access programming.

Each programmer will give a brief review of its operation over the past year.

Members of the public will be welcome to speak on concerns, ideas or problems regarding the operation and programming of the grant recipients.

Lane restrictions expected next week for I-69 at Union Chapel

Intermittent lane restrictions are planned on Interstate 69 near Exit 317, Union Chapel Road, during daylight hours Monday through Wednesday.

The right lanes in both directions are expected to be restricted to accommodate guardrail repair in the area.

All work is expected to take place between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., and all work is weather permitting.
