SDI increases quarterly dividend

Steel Dynamics Inc. has increased its quarterly dividend, the company announced today.

The dividend of 11 cents a share will be payable April 12 to stockholders of record March 31, the Fort Wayne-based company said in a statement.

The previous dividend had been 10 cents a share.

"We are pleased that our board of directors took this action, based largely on their confidence in the strength of our cash flow generation capability and financial position," said Mark D. Millett, SDI's president and chief executive officer, in the statement. "We believe this action further reflects our continued optimism and confidence in our future prospects."
