Statement as issued by the city at 8:36 a.m. Thursday:

Fort Wayne, Ind. – At this hour, crews from the Fort Wayne Street Department are continuing to plow residential streets. It’s expected that crews will complete the plowing of neighborhood streets late today.

Overnight, crews were able to plow about 70% of the residential streets in the City.

Reminder: Due to the heavy snowfall, residents who normally have their garabage and recycling picked-up on Thursday and Friday will be one day behind this week. Thursday pick-up will be on Friday and Friday pick-up will be Saturday.
