State to allow alcohol sales until 4 a.m. Sunday

INDIANAPOLIS – Moving clocks forward an hour Sunday won’t mean Indiana residents have an hour less to purchase alcohol this weekend.

Under Indiana law, all sales of beer, wine and other alcoholic beverage sales must end at 3 a.m. The Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission announced Friday that alcoholic beverage sales may continue until 4 a.m. this Sunday, instead of cutting off at the normal time. The commission says the change will allow the same number of hours of alcoholic beverage service.

Daylight saving time starts Sunday at 2 a.m. and runs through Nov. 3.
