1 lane only across Roush dam

Motorists traveling Indiana 5 in Huntington should prepare for possible delays beginning this week and continuing through most of the summer.

A temporary lane closure of Indiana 5 across the J. Edward Roush Lake Dam is tentatively planned beginning today or by mid-week and will continue into July or August.

One lane will be shut down with traffic minimally disrupted. However, some delays to cross the dam are expected, according to Army Corps of Engineers Roush Lake Natural Resources Project Manager Matthew Palmer.

The routine work is necessary to maintain the middle of the dam’s spillway, Palmer said.
