HARTFORD, Conn. – Connecticut is tough to beat when either its guards or its post players are having a good night. When both are clicking, it’s usually a rout.

Breanna Stewart scored 21 points to lead a balanced offense Sunday and the third-ranked Huskies bounced back from their loss to Notre Dame with a 94-61 win over DePaul in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament on Sunday night.

Stefanie Dolson and Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis each added 16 points for the Huskies (28-3), who have won 16 consecutive Big East tournament games. Five UConn players reached double figures.

The Huskies hit 12 shots from behind the arc and outscored DePaul 46-14 in the paint.

“That’s when you know you’ve played well, when you get that kind of balance,” UConn coach Geno Auriemma said.

UConn will play Syracuse in the semifinals.

No. 1 BAYLOR 77, OKLAHOMA ST. 69: In Dallas, Brittney Griner had 30 points and 10 rebounds, and the Bears (31-1) held off a furious late charge in the Big 12 tournament semifinals.

STANFORD 51, NO. 14 UCLA 49: In Seattle, Amber Orrange capped a career-high 20-point performance scoring on a spinning drive with 8.3 seconds left, and the Cardinal won its seventh straight Pac-12 Conference tournament title.

No. 6 DUKE 92, NO. 15 NORTH CAROLINA 73: In Greensboro, N.C., freshman Alexis Jones scored a career-high 24 points and the Blue Devils (30-2) claimed their eighth Atlantic Coast Conference tournament title.

SAINT JOSEPH’S 61, No. 11 DAYTON 54: In Philadelphia, Chatilla van Grinsven’s 19 points and 10 rebounds helped the fourth-seeded Hawks (22-8) snap the Flyers’ 15-game winning streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference semifinals. The Hawks advance to Saturday night’s final in Brooklyn, N.Y.

No. 13 LOUISVILLE 62, ST. JOHN’S 55: In Hartford, Conn., Sara Hammond had 22 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Cardinals (24-7) in the Big East tournament quarterfinals.

The Cardinals (24-7) will face No. 2 Notre Dame in the semifinals tonight.

No. 19 TEXAS A&M 75, No. 7 KENTUCKY 67: In Duluth, Ga., Kelsey Bone had 18 points and 15 rebounds, with most of her production coming in the second half, and the Aggies (24-9) won the Southeastern Conference tournament championship in their first year in the league.

No. 24 SYRACUSE 61, VILLANOVA 56: In Hartford, Conn., Kayla Alexander matched her career high with 34 points and the Orange (24-6) withstood a rally in the quarterfinals of the Big East tournament.

Men

TEMPLE 84, No. 21 VCU 76: In Philadelphia, Khalif Wyatt scored 30 points and Jake O’Brien had 19, and Temple rallied from a 16-point deficit. The Owls (23-8, 11-5 Atlantic 10) clinched the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.
