Mickey Mouse cartoons are coming back to the small screen as Disney attempts to revive one of the worlds most popular characters.
The 19 episodes will debut June 28 on the Disney Channel as well as online at Disney.com and the Watch Disney Channel app.
In a preview on Disney.com, Mickey and Minnie are working at a Paris café when they face a shortage of croissants. In the 3-minute, 30-second cartoon, Mickey goes on an adventurous trip through the city to fulfill their orders.
In each of the new shorts, he will find himself in a new setting including Santa Monica, New York, Beijing, Tokyo, Venice and the Alps. He will face a silly situation that gets played out in an escalation of physical and visual gags, according to a company blog.
‘L&O’ actors set for Marvin Gaye biopic
Its not quite a Law & Order reunion, but S. Epatha Merkerson will be teaming up again with former co-star Jesse L. Martin.
Merkerson says shes been cast to play Martins mother in the upcoming Marvin Gaye biopic Sexual Healing. Her manager Bob McGowan says production begins in late March.
The film focuses on Gaye in the 1980s when he battled drug abuse and depression.
Latest ‘Bachelor’ joins ‘Dancing’

ABC says Lowe is headed to Dancing With the Stars. He steps up fresh from his engagement to Catherine Giudici at the conclusion of the recent season of The Bachelor.
A Dallas businessman, Lowe will be competing for the disco-ball trophy when Dancing With the Stars returns for its 16th season Monday at 8 p.m. He will partner with Peta Murgatroyd.
The season premiere of the results show is set for March 26.
Fans of The Bachelor franchise can also look forward to The Bachelorette. Desiree Hartsock, who was rejected by Lowe on The Bachelor, has been chosen as the lead of that show.
McCarthy, Vaughn return as ‘SNL’ hosts
Two previous hosts will return to Saturday Night Live in April, NBC announced in a news release Tuesday.
On April 6, actress Melissa McCarthy will make her sophomore appearance with musical guest Phoenix.
Actor Vince Vaughn will take the stage April 13 for the second time. His musical guest will be Miguel.
McCarthys freshman hosting gig in 2011 earned rave reviews. Vaughn last appeared in 1998 with musical guest Lauryn Hill.
