Wintour expands her role

Condé Nast is expanding the role of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. She has been named the company’s artistic director.

The appointment was announced Wednesday by CEO Charles H. Townsend. Wintour’s new duties include developing an overall “creative vision” for Condé Nast, which has a portfolio of 18 consumer magazines, including the New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Allure and GQ.

Wintour, 63, will continue to run Vogue, which she has done since 1988.

Arrest in Trump case

A man is being held without bond in South Florida after authorities say he violated a restraining order instructing him to stay away from one of Donald Trump’s daughters.

Doral police arrested John Eugene Enabnit at a hotel Trump owns on Monday. He was being held Wednesday at a Miami-Dade County jail on a charge of violating a restraining order issued by a New York court.

Ivanka Trump is an executive vice president for her father’s Trump Organization and appeared on his reality TV show “The Apprentice.”

Police Chief Richard Blom says Enabnit told officers that he had been trying to see Ivanka Trump.

‘Moonshiner’ woe

A star of the TV show “Moonshiners” has been arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

Police in Danville announced Tuesday they had arrested Steven Ray Tickle at a convenience store on Thursday.

Police say they received a report of a man sitting in the parking lot of Charley’s Stop and Shop drinking, and they saw Tickle with an open container and smelling of alcohol.

The 35-year-old Tickle was released from the Danville City Jail later that day.

Superheroes to tour

The people who bring you The Greatest Show on Earth will be taking Spider-Man, the Hulk, Thor and the X-Men on a worldwide road show.

Feld Entertainment Inc., which produces the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey circus, announced a partnership Wednesday with Marvel Entertainment to produce a live arena show next year.
