Notre Dame is heading to the NCAA tournament for a fourth year in a row.The Irish (25-9) are the No. 7 seed in the West Regional. They will open play against No. 10 seed Iowa State at Dayton.Notre Dame is making its ninth NCAA appearance under coach Mike Brey.The Irish are 6-9 in the NCAA tournament under Brey with their deepest run coming in 2003 when Notre Dame reached the West Regional semifinal before falling 88-71 to No. 1 seed Arizona in Anaheim, Calif.Last year, Notre Dame was a seventh seed and fell in the second round to No. 10 seed Xavier 67-63 in Greensboro, N.C.Notre Dame is coming off a run to the semifinals of the Big East tournament with wins over Rutgers (69-61 Wednesday) and Marquette (73-65 Thursday).
