IU moves down polls, Oladipo and Zeller honored

Indiana slid down one spot in the final Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today coaches polls of the season, and Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller were named All-Americans by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.

The Hoosiers went from No. 3 to No. 4 in both polls.

Oladipo was named to the USBWA first team, and Zeller was named to the second team.

This is the first year IU has two All-Americans in the same year since Scott May and Kent Benson each received All-America honors in 1976.

Indiana is a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament and will start play in the East Regional at 4:10 p.m. Friday in Dayton, Ohio. The Hoosiers (27-6) will face either LIU Brooklyn (20-13) or James Madison (20-14).

LIU and James Madison play in the first round Wednesday in Dayton.

Other Big Ten teams in the final AP Top 25 are No. 7 Ohio State (26-7), No. 9 Michigan State (25-8), No. 10 Michigan (26-7) and No. 18 Wisconsin (23-11).

Other Big Ten teams in the final USA Today coaches poll are No. 6 Ohio State, No. 9 Michigan State, No. 11 Michigan and No. 17 Wisconsin.
