Hoosiers could face Owls in third round

DAYTON, Ohio – Indiana has a potential third-round opponent for the NCAA tournament.

The Hoosiers (27-6), who are the No. 1 seed in the East region, tip off against No. 16 seed James Madison (21-4) in about 30 minutes in the second round at University of Dayton Arena.

The winner of the IU-James Madison game will play Temple on Sunday with a chance to advance to the Sweet 16 in Washington D.C. next week.

The No. 9 seed Owls defeated No. 8 seed North Carolina State 76-72 in the first game Friday at Dayton.

Khalif Wyattt led Temple (24-9) with 31 points, and Jake O'Brien and Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson added 18 and 12, respectively.

Lorenzo Brown scored 20 for the Wolfpack (24-11), and C.J. Leslie added 20. Richard Howell had 14 points and 15 rebounds for N.C. State, and Scott Wood scored 10.
