Pokagon photo lesson set

– Barbara Knights-Hale of Jitterbug Photography will play host to a one-day spring photography workshop at Pokagon State Park Nature Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27 in the center’s auditorium.

Area skiers end year

Aiden Elizondo of Fort Wayne finished his skiing season on a high note with a second-place finish in the Super G, an eighth-place finish in the Giant Slalom and a 27th-place finish in the Slalom at the USSA U18-U21 Finals in Okemo, VT.

Anya Elizondo’s season finished with an injury two days before the New York State Championships, where she was projected to reach the Eastern Marriott U14 Junior Championships.

State parks need campground hosts

Most of Indiana’s state parks and reservoirs offer opportunities for campground hosts. Hosts work a minimum of 20 hours per week in exchange for free camping for a specified period. The time period varies at sites, based on the number of applicants and the amount and type of work required.
