Gates, Dunbar returning to Pensacola

The Komets have suspended defenseman Jeremy Gates and forward John Dunbar so they may return to Pensacola of the Southern Professional Hockey League, where they started the season, and participate in the playoffs.

Gates and Dunbar will be reunited with former Komet assistant coach Gary Graham, currently head coach of the Ice Flyers, and will be in the lineup when Pensacola starts the first round of the SPHL playoffs this week. Pensacola finished the season in third place with a 33-18-5 record.

Gates scored a goal and four points in 17 games with the Komets, while Dunbar scored five goals and 10 points during his 17-game tour.
