Gun-carry forms going online only

The Indiana State Police is eliminating paper applications for licenses to carry guns and moving toward an all-electronic process.

The agency, which already has an electronic application, will launch an enhanced version today.

As part of the application process, applicants must submit their fingerprints. As of May 15, only electronic sets of fingerprints will be accepted.

One location to have fingerprints done is 620 E. Berry St. (open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. every other Saturday).

To begin the application process, go to in.gov/isp/2828.htm. Anyone with questions should email the Indiana State Police Firearms Licensing Section at ISPFirearmsquestions@isp.in.gov.
