Guns seized in meth raid; woman charged

FORT WAYNE – A couple barred from buying pseudoephedrine were the targets Wednesday of a raid northwest of Fort Wayne.

Law enforcement units converged on a house in the 14400 block of Yellow River Road about 10 a.m. Wednesday, arresting Jodi Shawver, 31, on charges of possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, illegal dumping of controlled waste, possession of methamphetamine and child neglect, according to a written statement issued by the Fort Wayne Police Department Vice & Narcotics Division.

Two teenagers who live at the address but who were not there at the time of the raid were removed from the home by the Department of Child Services, police said.

Twelve long guns and one handgun were also taken from the home during the raid.

A man living at the house had not been located, the police said.
