Oladipo, Zeller earn All-American honors

Indiana's Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller earned All-American nods on Monday.

Oladipo, a 6-foot-5 guard, was named an Associated Press first-team All-American and was named to the John R. Wood Award All-American team.

Zeller, a 7-foot forward, was also named a Wooden All-American – making Indiana the only team with more than one player selected to the team – and he earned AP second-team All-America honors.

Oladipo is the Hoosiers' first AP first-team All-American since A.J. Guyton earned the honor in 2000. The junior is Indiana's eighth first-team AP selection, joining Guyton, Scott May, Kent Benson, Isiah Thomas, Steve Alford and Calbert Cheaney.

Oladipo averaged 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.2 steals while shooting 59.9 percent from the field and 44.3 percent on three-pointers. He had already been named the Big Ten defensive player of the year and to the All-Big Ten first team, while also being named the Sporting News player of the year and to it All-American first team.

Zeller led the Hoosiers with 16.5 points and 8.1 rebounds, and he had already been named to the All-Big Ten first team and received third-team All-American honors from the Sporting News.

Oladipo and Zeller are finalists for the Wooden Award and the Oscar Robertson Trophy.

Indiana senior guard Jordan Hulls will participate in the three-point shooting contest in the State Farm College Slam Dunk and Three-Point Championships at 7 p.m. Thursday at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Intersport announced.

Hulls led IU with 80 made three-pointers, shooting 44.4 percent from behind the arc.
