Mingo picks up honor

Purdue women’s basketball player Drew Mingo was selected as a first-team Senior CLASS award recipient on Friday.

Mingo, a sixth-year senior who suffered an ACL tear in 2011, came back to help guide the Boilermakers to a 25-9 record and a Big Ten tournament title.

The squad dropped out of the NCAA tournament in the second round.Mingo was also selected to the Associated Press All-American team as an Honorable Mention this season.

She averaged 12.2 points and six rebounds per game in her final year with Purdue.
