IUís Hulls a CLASS act on and off court

Indiana men’s basketball player Jordan Hulls received the Senior CLASS Award on Thursday, an honor given to “the most outstanding senior student-athlete” in each NCAA sport.

Hulls, who helped push the Hoosiers to their second straight Sweet 16, averaged 9.7 points and three assists per game while setting the program’s all-time record for games played.

The senior earned third-team Academic All-America honors earlier in the year.

“Jordan is everything you want a student-athlete to be and more,” Hoosiers coach Tom Crean said in a statement. “We are thrilled that he is being honored for his outstanding accomplishments on and off the court.”

Also on Thursday, Indiana women’s player Aulani Sinclair won the State Farm three-point championship in Atlanta.

The senior knocked down 20 three-pointers in the finals to beat North Carolina State’s Marissa Kastanek, who hit 17 in the finals.

Hulls finished second in the men’s three-point championship.

Hulls hit 15 three-pointers in the final round, but VCU’s Troy Daniels knocked down 17.

Sinclair and Hulls combined to hit 437 three-pointers in their four years at Indiana.
