TinCaps lose for first time

After a start to the Midwest League season that saw them win their first three games, the TinCaps finally lost Sunday.

Great Lakes erased a one-run deficit to take an 8-3 victory over the TinCaps (3-1) in the final meeting of the four-game series in Midland, Mich.

Starting TinCaps pitcher Zach Eflin, who turns 19 Monday, allowed four runs in the first three innings to get the loss.

The TinCaps open a three-game series at West Michigan Monday.
