Ficosa workers eligible for federal assistance

All workers of Ficosa North America Corp., a subsidiary of Berne-based Ficosa International, are eligible to receive federal assistance, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development said today.

The workers at Ficosa North America, who made exterior automotive mirrors, were displaced because of foreign imports or shifts in production out of the country, the department said in a statement.

The U.S. Labor Department's ruling applies to workers totally or partly separated from the company since March 11, the statement said. It said workers may obtain information at their local WorkOne center.
