Deadline nears to apply for storm-damage loans

Statement as issued Tuesday by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security:

Small businesses and certain non-profit organizations in seven northeastern Indiana counties are reminded that May 6 is the filing deadline for Economic Injury Disaster Loans for the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

The loans are intended to pay fixed debts, payroll, accounts payable, and other expenses that could have been paid had the disaster not occurred.
