Ants trail at half

Although the Mad Ants are shooting 51.2 percent from the field, Santa Cruz has hit 54.2 and owns a 63-54 lead over the Ants at halftime of Wednesday's D-League playoff game at Memorial Coliseum on Wednesday.

The Ants are being led by Tony Mitchell's 16 points. Mitchell, 7 of 12 from the floor, picked up his second foul with 4:35 left in the first quarter and didn't return until 7:54 remained in the half.

Eleven turnovers have plagued the Ants. Anthony Harris has four, and Mitchell has three.

Ron Howard returned to the lineup and played 6:53. He is 1 of 4 from the floor for two points.

Stefhon Hannah leads Santa Cruz with 12 points. Travis Leslie and Jeremy Tyler have 10 each.
