Fake bills lead to arrest of 5

The discovery of illegal drugs and counterfeit bills at two Angola apartments Monday led to the arrest of five people, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department.

The searches took place about 4:30 p.m. at apartments on Broad Street. Deputies found counterfeit bills of different denominations, drug paraphernalia and undisclosed amounts of meth and marijuana, police said.

Luther Fitch, 46, of Angola; Grover Lowe, 54, of Michigan; and Nikki Ludlow, 32, of Michigan each face a felony count of possession of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of an apartment complex and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Fitch was also charged with a felony count of maintaining a common nuisance.

Andrew Fitch, 26, of Angola faces a felony count of counterfeiting and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kenny Fletcher, 40, of Angola was charged with a felony count of maintaining a common nuisance and two misdemeanors: marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
