Warriors hurler does it all in victory

Hannah Robbins ruled the mound and the plate, as Woodlan defeated Adams Central 12-0 in a softball game Tuesday in Woodburn.

She pitched a one-hitter, striking out 12 and walking none, in five innings of work.

And she was 2 for 3 with a grand slam.

Teammate Logan Smead was 3 for 3 with a home run and three RBI.

Woodlan had 12 hits.

LAKEWOOD PARK 7, NEW HAVEN 0: In New Haven, Mikeila Boroff allowed only one hit and struck out 15 for Lakewood Park Christian. Boroff was also 1 for 2 at the plate, as Lakewood Park racked up 14 hits.

Brooke Herendeen was 3 for 4 with a run and an RBI. Courtney Sliger was 2 for 4 with a run and two RBI.

CONCORDIA 9, NORWELL 2: The host Cadets got eight hits, two of which were doubles from Taylor Sparks. Teammate Anna Schillinger pitched all seven innings, allowing five hits and striking out seven.


NORWELL 5, HUNTINGTON NORTH 0: In Huntington, Luke Hunter pitched a complete-game two-hitter, striking out seven and walking none. Teammate Jacob Meyer was 3 for 3.

NORTHROP 12, WAYNE 0: Tyler Huth had a home run and a double at home for the Bruins, who held the Generals to only two hits.

ADAMS CENTRAL 11, WOODLAN 1: In Woodburn, the Flying Jets’ Cooper Hill came in relief in the bottom of the first inning and wound up going 5 2/3 , allowing five hits, striking out four and walking none. Isaac Luginbill was 3 for 3 with a home run and two doubles. Dalton Combs was 4 for 5 with three doubles and two RBI.


DEKALB 168, GARRETT 171: In Garrett, Spencer Shoemaker led the Barons with a 38 at Garrett Country Club. Teammates Quentin Johnson and Brysen Conway both carded 43s.

Vince Marshall paced the Railroaders with a 41.

SNIDER 167, NEW HAVEN 180: In New Haven, the Panthers’ Zach Parks posted a 38 at Whispering Creek.

BLACKHAWK CHRISTIAN 165, NORTHROP 180: At Colonial Oaks, Blackhawk’s Keegan Williams and Northrop’s Zach Borntreger both shot 39s.

BLUFFTON 189, SOUTHWOOD 194: In Bluffton, Carson Addington’s 44 at Timber Ridge led the Tigers.


BISHOP LUERS 4, NEW HAVEN 1: In New Haven, the closest match came at No. 1 doubles, where the Knights’ Courtney Witte and Andrea Choka defeated Jessica Calvert and Taylor Erdly 7-5, 2-6, 6-1. At No. 1 singles, Natalie Rahrig beat Hannah Cordes 6-2, 6-1.

NORWELL, 3, COLUMBIA CITY 2: In Ossian, the No.3 singles match saw Rachel Phillips of Norwell defeat Cassie Bosselman 6-4, 6-4.
