TinCaps under rain delay after 5 1/2 innings

The TinCaps have gone to a rain delay and are up 4-0 on the Lake County Captains after 5 1/2 innings.

Fort Wayne's four runs came on three errors, including two fumbled ground balls.

Joe Ross, the TinCaps starter, put in five full innings, striking out eight and allowing one walk and one hit, before handing the ball over to Leonel Campos.

In his first inning, Campos walked one and gave up a hit but got out of the jam with two strikeouts.

The grounds crew has the tarp on top of the field, and a surprising number of fans are sticking around, either under umbrellas or camping out in the mezzanine level.

We'll keep you posted on the status of the game.

The rain has lightened some, but is still coming down.
